Friends And Fishing

Friends And Fishing                 oil                    12" x 16"

This painting was my personal antidote after shoveling snow (yet again) today. I caught these guys in a photo in Yellowstone Park last summer. I thought it told a good story of 2 guys heading out in anticipation of a good day on the water. I really enjoyed playing with all the rich color in the dry grasses and the feeling of comradery between the two.

    Gros bisous 🌺

  2. Love the palette! Such a nice composition; the painting tells its own narrative of two guys in their own happy world. Love this one, Mary

    1. Yes a 'happy world' is a great description. My own is paint and color!

  3. Triple WOW!! How brilliantly you spiced up the monotony of green on green with those luscious hues of blues, turquoise, pinks and reds, buff and white so that the spots of green sing their solo with a vibrancy that would otherwise just get lost in an all green choir. Absolutely astounding. And, as John commented, how endearing a scene of two guys in their happy world.
