Mary, I am always fascinated by the way you capture the motion and mood of a scene with your brushstrokes and color. I could study this one a long time and still be fascinated!

Mary, I can hear what they are saying. Love how wonderfully you portray the sport. Beautiful.

Mary, This is so nice. Love the arrangement with the two figures! I have been missing my blog lately. I had to move my mom from her home and other parts of life have gotten in the way... so hard to paint sometimes. All the best to you! You are an inspiration to me!

You've beautifully captured an intimate moment with these two figures. Everything focuses on them. I love the density of the woods around them and the rush of the water as they stand engrossed in what they're doing. Well done. Mary!!

At first I wondered why Catching Gold did not sell... and then I noticed that Streamside Conversation is a much stronger composition with the huge V... of the background... subtly forcing the viewer's eye onto the the fishermen... without coming right out and saying... Look Here.
Kudos to you.
