Snowy Homestead

Snowy Homestead          oil on linen       6" x 8"
The is one from north of New Meadows, Idaho. I loved painting all the blues and then popping in those lights of the sun-struck areas of the snow. This was done on a Canson art board that is archival and has a light linen-like surface. It is one I will definetly use again.

The design of the painting works, it has the appearance of a bigger painting.

Good morning Mary!... Pat says it correctly!

So much said ... within so little space... and your intuitive combination of light... shadow and warm colour beside cooler creates drama.

A gem!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards
Bruce

Mary I am really taken by this one. The light and the palette are just gorgeous. There is also a masterful simplicity about it.
