McKinn Island

McKinn Island                7.5" x 9.5"                      oil on linen
This is from a photo I took a few years ago. I was in a boat fly fishing with my husband. We were in Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island. What I remember was the very cool, grayish sky light and soft edges on everything. The islands in the area are dark, solid masses that surrounded us while we tossed up and dawn in a small boat. We had seals following periodically, hoping we'd catch one for them!
