Long Reach

Long Reach                                 oil on linen panel             6" x 8"
Here's a smaller painting for today using a limited palette of Y Ochre, Cad Red medium, Cerulean Blue, and black and white. It's starting to snow here, so this is both from memory and an old photo. Maybe it will bring a summer memory for one of you out there.

Surging water and the long reach of his arm make for a lot of power in a small space. Another little gem of a painting.

It brings back so many memories. I must dig out some of the photos. You conveyed the moment masterfully.

I like the action in the fisherman, and how you weave the cerulean blue throughout the painting, what a beautiful color Mary.
