Double!

   Double!                              oil                               22" x 14"
This is the commission I've been recently working on. Pictured are twin daughters enjoying a day out on the river. This was done from a small work that I first painted as a plan from some photos that were provided to me. I combined those with landscaping and river images that I thought would enhance the figures and work with the composition.

And you demonstrate so well the excitement of a "Double". Nice, nice.

When I enlarged this I could see the wonderful movement and linkage you achieved. Twins? - it could not have been easy having two focal areas but you pulled it off great.

I'd like to see the photos that you used. I'm intrigued by the idea of taking images and moods from different photos to create a painting. I think that's the more artistic approach, rather than drawing from just one photo. This is a wonderful painting, you created the sense of flowing water and movement in the girls. Very nicely done!
