A Golden Day's End

A Golden Day's End              18" x 18"           oil
My head is in the clouds these days with both small and large works. This is an unusual color scheme for me to work with and I enjoyed a yellow sky for a change. I worked a lot from imagination here.

This is lovely, and has such a dreamy quality. I'm impressed that your skies in the past two paintings have been very different, showing each day as it's own beautiful moment, just like days really are. Very nicely done!

We have yellow skies here when the weather has a change, usually windy. They are dramatic and not as pretty as yours. I admire the way you manage to capture the vastness of space.
