Apple Impression - Verifying you are a Human! apple tree garden painting

Apple Impression    8" x 6"     oil
Today's painting is my idea of just driving by the apple trees that are evident now, without stopping to look at detail. These are just the lovely contrasting colors, in motion.......

I have a question for fellow bloggers today as well. Virginia Floyd, a fellow artist and blogger, mentioned in a comment on my last post that she was having a terrible time with " verify you are a human" when she tried to leave a comment. Her frustration was evident and soooooo familiar! For those of you who don't know, this is the jumble of words and letters that you have to re-type which cuts down on spam. I have tried turning off this feature and every time I do, I get many weird spams left on my posts. How do those of you who have this feature turned off deal with it??

Hi Mary...I too am having problems commenting on sites that still use captcha. I took them off my blog and get a piece of spam or two daily but because all comments have to be approved by me before they post I just delete them.
Now I hope I can read the captcha below!

Gorgeous painting! I turned off the capcha (sp) verification but I also "approve" all the comments. So far that works just great. :)

Really neat the way you captured the essence of the apples - just like you wanted. The colors are so beautiful.

I turned off my word verification just today after a helpful suggestion of how to do it. Time will tell but I enjoyed reading Dana and Celests's take on it.

I turned mine off and hope no one has problems..I always wonder! I don't understand why google has this anyway... However, Mary!! Love this painting and how you used your colors...Excellent piece!!!

Really love your apples, Mary! I too have had a very hard time with the word verification on your blog. (It has been taking me 3 tries) I turned mine off and approve all posts. I rarely get any spam because I also use Gmail which has a GREAT spam filter. Gmail is easy to set up and you can use your existing emails. I used to get hundreds of spam emails a week before I switched to Gmail.

I use the "approve" method, also. But so far, my blog has stayed below the radar of spammers.

A wonderful loose impression of apples Mary, so nice. I do find that feature frustrating, sometimes it takes me several tries. I should look into turning it off too. I'll have to try to figure that out, lol

Love the minty greens in this, Mary. I turned off the word verification a while ago. Have always used comment moderation. I've never gotten anything weird. The word verification is irritating, especially if you are using a smart phone! If we all turned it off I would be so glad!

Hello Mary. I never had word verification and so far only one spam, which actually was a comment from a fellow blogger... I don't understand why it ended up in spam, but that's about all, so I don't really have a word of advice; just an experience.
The painting is so beautiful!!! The colors are utterly relaxing and very smooth!
Warm regards.

Love this painting. Gorgeous color and brushwork. I also have had trouble reading it and sometimes it does take several tries...I am always glad when someone turns it off:) When I switched to WordPress I was glad they did not have that. Good dialogue going on this subject.
