Big Sky - oil skyscape of Montana

Big Sky                       7" x 7"                   oil on panel
This is the second of my paintings from the Big Skies of Montana. Most of our days were pure blue with not a cloud in the sky, but the first day had these swooping over slivers of farm landscape. I tried to catch the idea with large brushstrokes and movement.

Magnificent Mary. I grew up in Calgary Alberta, which is very flat, and I miss those big skies!! Your painting is wonderful.

Hi there Mary!... Just stumbled on to your wonderful site!

I am impressed with the variety of your subject matter... the consistency of colour and composition.

But most of all... your deft and pleasing painterly quality of brushworks which makes each of your pieces... no matter the genre... "simply"... a gem!

I'll certainly back for more "touring!"

Good Painting! Stay Cool!
Warmest regards,
Bruce Sherman
