Common Goal - fly fishing, Kiribati

Common Goal      oil      8" x 7"
I'm back to fly fishing on this one and Steve is fishing with a guide this time. The guides are able to spot the nearly invisible fish and though it's hot, everyone covers up due to the intensity of the constant sun. It's interesting to try to change and contrast all the blues that are nearly the same value in a landscape/seascape like this. Even though the differences are subtle, I juxtaposed warm and cool changes throughout.

Very nice, Mary. I like the colors you chose and your subject of fishing is always good!

Mary,
I like your applications of paint. You also draw the gesture so well. Juxtaposition of warm and cool blues very successful.
