Basque Dancer - oil demonstration

slideshow painting demonstration- click to view
This is the demo I put together for my last post "Basque Dancer" and it begins, with the finished painting and then it starts with the block in. I didn't think to do this until I began taking photos at the block in stage. Previous to that, I had a loose brush drawing in umber.

Love to watch the sequence...I always find it so interesting to see how artists approach and finish a painting. Love the softness in the finished piece! Thanks for sharing!

J'aime voir vos différentes étapes par votre diaporama de votre oeuvre... C'est absolument très intéressant. Un travail merveilleux dans cette oeuvre.
Gros bisous

Beautiful, Mary. Love the position of her head, the quietness of the moment, and the color harmony.

That's a beautiful portrait. I love the gentleness and the expressiveness of it. The slideshow is so helpful too!
