Window Box Floral - colorful summer floral

Window Box Floral      oil       9" x 9"
This is also from Butchart Gardens where the green striped awnings add to the riot of flower color everywhere. The light provided a nice slash of bright color angling through the composition, though I may go back and tone down the brushwork some. It's one of those things that I need to take a fresh look at tomorrow.

Beautiful, Mary. I love how the awning is "washed out" with light.

I wouldn't touch it! It's really very lovely, colorful and uplifting. I would recommend you redo it on a much larger format. It would be stunning large!

Your "Window Box" painting is marvelous as it is! Let it be.... This is the only painting on the DPW page this morning that caught my eye! If it were possible, I would buy it for the joy of it.
