There's No Place Like Home

There's No Place Like Home    oil on canvas    8" x 10"
Well it must be all those recent reruns of  The Wizard of Oz, but the title for this seemed just right. I guess I could name the hen on the left Dorothy. This of course is the time of year when we are all thinking of home and hearth, but it can be difficult to pull it all together for a myriad of reasons. When things get hectic, I will try to keep these contented hens in mind.

That's a great painting! So full of color and interest, and tells such a fun story! I need some calm mother hens to look to as an example this week! Things are definitely getting hectic!

Love your brushstrokes and palette and the movement your paintings have. I really enjoy looking at them. Love it.

Love this one, Mary, especially the ceiling above them.

I'm so jealous that you are getting to paint such lovely paintings! I am still tied up with helping my daughter after almost 8 weeks. I am there almost 3 to 4 days a week. Lots going on in their lives right now and the stress I must say is getting to her, but so thankful I can help its just a bummer that it takes away from my painting. It is nice to stop by and check out yours though!

Merry Christmas!
