Sky Sketch

Sky Sketch    7"x7"  oil on panel
This is a little sketch I did a while back, as a study of edges and values. It's a good one to post on this lazy weekend while I'm planning for larger works . Hope you are having a good one and finding time to paint, or look at paintings.

You paint the most gorgeous clouds I have ever seen. I admire the way you created a unique composition with them, like an abstract. Beautiful!

Un réel plaisir que d'admirer vos nuages... Ils sont si beaux que je n'ai qu'une crainte, celle qu'ils s'échappent de mon écran!!!
gros bisous

Hi Mary! (You don't have to publish this one) Thank you so much for the sweet comment on my blog. I published it, but somehow when I opened your email later, I hit the wrong thing and it rejected your comment! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that to happen at all. I really appreciate your advice about not showing each individual eyelash. I think that was my problem on the first portrait I did, which looked kind of fake around the eyes. Thank you so much!
