Tasting Merlot

Tasting Merlot   oil   9"x 9"
This is a scene from the Reininger Winery where we had tastings of several of their offerings and a peak at the back room. The grapes were fermenting and there was a wonderful fruity aroma they call the 'angel's share'. And this girl was friendly, informative and generous with her time.

Lovely Mary, she looks so sweet and the bar counter is delightful! I would like to sit down and have a glass.

What a wonderful painting! That's a really creative composition! There are so many interesting things in it, and yet they all come together into one unified composition. You're so talented, I'm always inspired by your blog.

Love this one- full of wonderful different things that are all painted beautifully. Composition is amazing and love the brushwork especially on the greenish bar. The little wine bottles behind the bar are fabulous!

Wonderful work Mary. I go from her face to that wonderful swirled green you painted on the counter top.

This is terrific, Mary. I love the way the diagonal lines of the bar highlight the wine server. Everything about the painting feels so right and your brushwork, as usual, is wonderful. Just the right amount of detail and it makes me feel like I am there in that room. Bravo!
