Tofino Docks

Tofino Docks   7" x 9"   oil
I've had this picture in the back of my mind for a long time, and as I am working with boats right now, it seemed to gel in concept. This was an early evening in Tofino BC and as the sun was going down,it lit up the planes of the boat and dock perfectly.  I knew right what I was going for in the finished painting and that helped me pull it together.

Really nice, Mary! I love how the boat is bathed in light. Nice use of muted tones in the background, so that the boat is the centerpiece. Great job!

I also love how the boat is bathed in light- just gorgeous. Wonderful painting- boats are so fun to paint- I surprise myself at how much I like them and paint them. You did a beautiful job on this one.

a beautiful piece of art... boats are so complicated and you have captured it and its paraphernalia so well!
