Just Turning

Just Turning  9"x9"  oil
One of the really fun things about painting fruit is color of course. And, I particularly look for that in-between stage. In this piece for example, the reds have greens in them and visa versa. It creates a harmony and yet a wonderful contrast and variety that I always enjoy working with.

You've been working away at some beautiful paintings! I especially like the color in this one. Those apples look luscious.

Wonderful color harmony (agreed!) and most awesome brushwork.
