Wild Rose

Wild Rose  9x9" oil
One of the first wildflowers you see here in the Northwest are the Wild Rose bushes. They invariably have a true pink color and many blooms that last quite awhile into the summer. These were some I saw last summer, but I know any day now, they will be here again. Nancy Laliberte's painting of daffodils has me impatient to paint spring!

Mary, what a beautiful piece. We been blooming and sneezing for about 5 weeks. I hope the blooms appear soon for you.

This is lovely, Mary. I too am SO ready for some flowers. My daffodils are just starting to bloom out. I love the irises best, I think, and look forward to them later!

I have always loved the wild rose, and the ones here are wonderfully fragrant. This is a beautiful rendition.

Diana-yes, irises are some of my favorites-I'll be painting more of those I know.

Thanks Catherine and Kelley- I look forward to the fragrance and I suppose some sneezing too :(

I love this Mary! The trees are the perfect backdrop for the flowers. The colors compliment each other very nicely. Great work!
