Moving Through

Moving Through   9x9"  oil
Here I wanted to catch one of those fast moving storms that races overhead. You're not sure whether to go about your business, or duck for cover! I like the cool and warm contrasts, with the intensity of color changing throughout. We actually had snow on the ground this morning...but I just couldn't paint snow just now! This afternoon it cleared up, with the intermittent darkness you see here.

This is very nice, Mary. I love your handling of the sky and I really like the little bits of turquoise in the foreground.

Hi Megha and thanks,I appreciate you comment on balance, and to you too Fay, the turqoise was one of those bits that just 'seemed right' and I had to add that touch of change in the greens.

Brad-how great to hear! I don't think I've heard that people are getting chills from my work for a very long time (uh, ever?) thanks:)
