Fly Tying III

Fly Tying III 9"x9" oil
When my husband is tying flies. I can easily be inspired by all the shapes and colors on his worktable.  I don't know enough to set up the right kind of scene sometimes, but just from an artistic standpoint, if I'm lucky, it's just there......waiting to be painted ...like this :)

I love the abstract quality of this painting! Left you a note on your Cloud painting post.

Mary, my husband fly fishes and ties his own flys (flies?) so all of these fishing paintings you have been doing are so dear to my heart! I see piles of these same things on my kitchen table all the time! Beautiful painting of a difficult subject!

What a lovely addition to your fly fishing series. I saw it first on Rosa's Picks and had to drop by your blog to say how much I like the color and the design.
It has your signature touch.

Hi All, yes it is an unusual subject for most, but I see it so regularly, I was trying to see what I'm overlooking sometimes!
