Dedication  9"x9"  oil
There are lots plein aire painters who paint in snow fields, but none of them can hold a candle to some of the fly fishermen I've met. Rain, snow or sleet, they're on to the next great place. I was attracted here to the abstract pattern of large patches snow against the dark sienna rock and weeds. The fisherman stands out against the white and provides that vertical break in the composition.
