Crimson Iris

Crimson Iris  6x6 oil   
It's such fun to paint flowers again, though my  method is the same for most all the subjects I work with. If I remember to grab my camera, I will post a demo for tomorrow's flower painting. I usually block in with a single wash or blocks of varied color, then draw the biggest shapes with paint , block in shadows, lights and mid-tones.
