Fresh Bread

Fresh Bread   6x6"  oil $100
My mother made wonderful bread, with a great crust. And, as any baker and fan of a good crusty bread knows, you store it with a cotton kitchen towel (not in a plastic bag) to keep it that way. She used to tie it up at the top, and create a wonderful bundle of loaves and rolls. I have to practice....the bread I baked here, isn't nearly as good!Click here for price and purchasing

Nice one, Mary. I like to bake bread, and photo the loaves quite often, but somehow, never got around to painting one! You made this one look so fresh and yummy.

I never knew that about wrapping bread in a towel Mary and I grew up on homemade bread for 16 years. Maybe a territorial thing?
Love the bread series and must say, it is so much healthier than the Donut War. And sounds like you're baking what you paint - just like Kim. I'm having a difficult time staying away from my pros, so don't even want to go there and bake them too. You are one brave lady!

Mary...this bread and toast series is a delight...I can just see some lucky person's kitchen with this ensemble up on the wall.

I love all three of these bread paintings, but this one the best! Beautiful rendering of the white towel, and the red checked cloth underneath. Great job!
