Snowy Apples

Snowy Apples      9"x 9"    oil on linen       $200
I've been seeing a few snowy branches that still have apples on them and they're looking like Mother Nature's Christmas ornaments to me. The apples have gone dark and have varying kinds of spotting from going soft. I enjoyed working with such a cool light and the patterns created by the branches as well.

This has a wonderful Oriental feeling to it. You really captured the feeling of the snow laying on the apples. I also really like your brushstrokes and how they help define the shapes.

Wonderful piece, Mary. Love the coolness of the snow against the warmth of the apples.

I love all your fruit on the branch paintings, but this is so unusual, it really stands out. You go girl!

Beautiful! I really love the sense of depth you've created by having the soft edges on the background branches. Very nice!
