Pink and White

Pink and White    8"x 8" oil    $150
Once again, I wanted to work with flower shapes and put together this painting from a bouquet of mixed blooms from summer. I didn't really identify the flowers here, other than maybe the rose on the left, but wanted to suggest the idea of the blossoms through the brushwork alone.

What a lovely painting. I love the color and the brushwork works so well to say Roses. The pitcher is so nicely painted.

This has a nice "Valentine's Day" feel to it.

I always love your combination of detailed and abstracted shapes, and your colors are always just right. Wonderful painting Mary!
