Desert Light

Desert Light     8"x 10"      oil          $250
Every now and then I do enjoy painting horses and cattle, not only for the life that they bring to a landscape, but for the big shapes and shadows that they cast. This is from the Big Horn River area in Montana.

This is wonderful, love the softness of the flowers, and the colors you chose complement this horse so well, very peaceful.

I love how you successfully captured the light on the horse and the grasses. Beautifully painted!

I am completely blown away by this one, Mary. It has a zen quality to it, too...

Gosh Mary, this is a great painting. The horse and the brush all work together so well. Wonderful color.

Really gorgeous! Your work is just amazing. Thank you so much for the painting that I "won" from your blog. It is so lovely, Mary. I see it every day, and it gives me so much peace and hope for good things to come. Maybe I will do a giveaway like you have done someday too. It's a nice thing to do.
