Fall Color II


Fall Color II    12"x 9"   oil
Here's another take on fall color. quieter and grayer on an overcast day. The rusty tones, in and amongst the dying ochre grasses provided good contrast. The lead in of water reminds me of moving into another season in our ever changing lives.

    I really like the quick brushstrokes and the treatment you gave the grass. The flaxen color looks so dynamic against the blue water and rusts in the rocks.
