Style Sisters

Style Sisters   6"x6"    oil
I've used heels as a subject before and they are always sooooo fun (to paint, not wear!) I am always inspired to paint them again, when I see one of my fellow DPO painters, like Kim Rempel paint a shoe "portrait" of which she has many wonderful ones. These are pure eye candy, for their color, shape and the two color set-up, which reminded me more of sisters or friends, than a pair of shoes.

Love the flirty little bows on the heels Mary! And the two different colors side-by-side.
Fun!

Oh thanks Mary! : ) Yours *are* pure eye candy - those bows are painted beautifully and the icing on the cake. Take care.

Nice spikes on those heels. I would call these 'my sit-down shoes', pretty to look at, but difficult to walk in ...
But they would look great on a wall!

Love these as a painting. Hate wearing them, though.

Great job. Love that hot pink next to the black.

Mary those shoes look like they are ready to step out and dance. Beautiful brushwork and the bows are darling.

Those are SO beautiful! I love them :) Both yours and Kim's shoes have a very sassy-girl-power vibe that I love. Glad I found your blog :)
