Gardener at Manito

Gardener at Manito    9"x12"     acrylic
This is another work from Manito Garden in Spokane, with this "cowboy" gardener. One of the shapes that drew my eye was his hat and the way it's curves repeated in the garden paths. I used a kind of red brick underpainting again here

Your use of color creates such happy paintings, I wish he were working in my garden since I have been too busy painting to prepare it for fall!

You are wonderful with lush gardens. I need this man to take care of mine!

Mary,
Your recent posts with the human figure are just wonderfully executed. Great job.

You definitely have captured the beauty of both these garden scenes. Wonderful brushwork and handling of all the various colors.

More beautiful work from Mary. The variety of greens, strokes, bits and dabs of paint here and there...if only you could teach me how to do that! A feast for the eyes.

Very good Mary. I like the strong color and brushwork in your center of interest. A different composition than most gardens.
