Abundance

Abundance   12x9    oil
These huge peony blooms were just past their prime, but the number of flowers and huge petals were falling in big bunches. They really were almost prettier at this stage than a few days before and I was trying to catch that look and feeling of lushness here.

Very beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a peony. They don't grow in San Antonio. We have prickly pear cactus, though.

Mary, both of these new florals are so pretty. Love your clear, vivid colors. Peonies are such incredibly challenging blooms, but you did and excellent job!

Wonderful brushwork. This is gorgeous. We don't have peonies in Florida, but I saw them in Tennessee and fell in love with them.

This is such a beautiful painting. I especially like the coneflower painting, but I'm very partial to coneflowers. Your paintings are fab.
