Granny Smith

Granny Smith      8"x8"        oil on canvas panel
Once again, I'm experimenting with the dappled light of outdoors. It always draws my eye, and while it adds complexity, I find if I simplify, it usually works out in the end. Here, I've tried to focus on the apples, while still maintaining interest elsewhere in the painting.

Fantastic color palette! The pale yellow green next to the pale purples of the branch is so serene and beautiful...GREAT job!
