Scarlet 10" x 8" oil on linen    sold
This is a little sketch I re-painted and is similar to a previous post. I used a different palette, but similar composition. It's that time of year when everywhere I go I'm seeing geranium reds. In a subject like this, it's hard for me to choose what to paint, because the red gets so dazzling! As with the other, I used the shape of this single stem for a focal point.

I enjoyed visiting your blog and I like your geraniums, too.

Mary, this is so beautiful! I love the softness and your composition is so good. Geraniums are a good subject.
