Nasturtium Skirts

Nasturtium Skirts  12"x 12"   oil
A friend clued me in to hanging baskets of Nasturtiums at a garden store. But, when I got there, they had just sold the last one. I bought a single plant though and when I got it home, the sun hit just right to create a kind of wild shadow pattern.

Love the title, Mary. Very descriptive! The shadows are awesome. I think I would have gotten lost in them. The colors are beautiful throughout your painting. You have a great eye for color and design. Hope you find some more nasturtiums!

The shadows "shine" here! The palette is lovely, too. May you find a hanging basket of nasturtiums elsewhere!

Tricky flowers to paint. Nice job--especially the shadows.

Yep, I second that: WOW! Love how the shadows lead the eye all the way around, really lovely job!
