Fishing Gold - more fly fishing in the Northwest

Fishing Gold                            oil                        9" x 12"

Here is another re-post while I continue to be away from my easel ....

The beginnings of winter in this one, with a patch of light on the snow, and a fly fisherman at the center of it. And, this fisherman is enjoying it regardless of the temps. I've added a detail shot below.

Nice, the sunlight makes it an inviting place to fish.

There is a special feeling I get looking at your fishing series. I do not fish but your paintings make me feel authentic - as if I know I have been there, in that spot with a rod in my hand. What a gift you have, Mary.
I want to thank you for the time and effort you put into having such a great blog with such wonderfull variety.

Love the colors, the light and the looseness of the painting. Very talented!
