Orange Branches

Orange Branches   10" x 8"   oil on linen panel
Coming back into snow country from being in Arizona last week, takes some getting used to! But, it's great to think about the sunny color of the orange trees in Phoenix. This one was just outside the door of the place I stayed. I took some photos and tried to make some mental notes to myself about shadow colors, as I knew they were destined for painting.

Just wonderful...I just want to reach in there and pick one of those right off the branch. So well done Mary!

The colors are just so exciting! I love the fresh, loose brushwork, too, as usual!

Beautiful light coming in and across the oranges and those leaves! Love the way you rounded the form of the oranges. The leaves are gorgeous themselves too! Love it!
