Lemon Trio 9"x9" oil on linen panel
I nearly titled this painting, "Pucker Up". Every time I started really thinking about the subject, as opposed to painting the subject, my mouth started to do that automatic response thing that happens when you think of lemons! Anyway, in painting these three, my challenge was not to let the intense yellows overwhelm everything else. Believe it or not, I grayed down quite a bit of the color here and it is still pretty high on the chroma chart . Now, time for icy lemonade.........

Oh wow! I love the colors on this one and the looseness of your brushstrokes. Great job!
sooooooo pretty! Esp. like the bit of purple included in the lower left which complements the yellows...
Another beauty. You have such a way with the brush.
Very dreamy looking. Beautifully done!

This is a beautiful painting. Extra nice!
Very nice! Love the sky holes and the highlights on the lemons. Sweet.
The colors in this are so beautiful! Although you used strong color the over all effect is very soft and romantic. Great work!
Mmm, lemonade. It's great with fresh mint in, even more refreshing! I love the soft shapes in this, they're calming and serene, a nice contrast to the puckering my mouth is now doing too! Delighted to have found your blog, Mary.
Beautiful and soft and glowy (if thats a word) - I just love this one Mary!
